NGT Namazu Mini Travel Telescopic Rod & Reel Set – 5ft
A remarkably compact 5ft telescopic fishing rod and reel combo that packs down to just 31cm – ideal for holidays, travelling, keeping in the car or as a handy spare fishing setup.
The NGT Namazu Mini Travel Rod & Reel Combo is designed for anglers who want a simple, portable fishing setup that takes up very little space.
The 5ft / 1.5m fibreglass rod uses a six-section telescopic design and collapses down to just 31cm, making it easy to carry in a rucksack, fishing bag, car or holiday luggage.
With a casting weight of 10–30g, the Namazu is particularly well suited to light fishing, short sessions, light lure work and situations where a full-sized rod would be inconvenient.
The set also includes a matching NGT reel already spooled with nylon line, giving you a convenient rod and reel combination ready to be incorporated into your fishing setup.

That makes it particularly convenient for:
Fishing holidays
Camping trips
Travelling
Keeping a spare rod in the car
Short spontaneous fishing sessions
Anglers with limited storage space
Fibreglass Telescopic Rod
The Namazu uses a durable fibreglass blank divided into six telescopic sections.
Simply extend the sections when you're ready to fish and collapse them again when it's time to pack away.
The rod has a casting weight of 10–30g, making it best suited to lighter tackle, rigs and lures rather than heavy-distance casting.
Rod & Reel Combo
The set includes both:
NGT Namazu Telescopic Rod
5ft / 1.5m with a 10–30g casting weight.
NGT Namazu Reel
Supplied already spooled with nylon fishing line.
This makes it a convenient starting point for newer anglers as well as an easy-to-store backup setup for more experienced anglers.
Ideal for Younger or Newer Anglers
The shorter 5ft length and compact design can also make the Namazu easier to handle than a full-length fishing rod.
It can therefore be a practical option for younger anglers learning to fish, provided they are appropriately supervised around water.

Fishing & Safety Advice
Always extend and collapse telescopic rod sections carefully to avoid damaging the guides or blank.
Check that each section and line guide is correctly aligned before fishing.
Rinse and dry fishing equipment after use, particularly following use around salt water.
Children and inexperienced anglers should always be appropriately supervised near rivers, lochs, ponds, coastal areas and other bodies of water.
Fishing hooks and tackle should always be handled carefully and kept away from children when not in use.
