Baskerville Classic Basket Dog Muzzle
A strong, comfortable basket muzzle designed to allow your dog to pant and drink while helping provide greater control, prevent scavenging and support safer everyday walks.
The Baskerville Classic Basket Muzzle combines security with a dog-friendly basket design that allows plenty of airflow and gives your dog room to pant and drink when correctly fitted.
Made from strong yet lightweight thermoplastic rubber (TPR), the basket can be reshaped using hot water to help achieve a more personalised fit for your dog.
An additional removable anti-scavenging guard is included. When fitted, this helps prevent dogs from picking up food waste, stones and other unwanted objects while out walking. It can also be useful for dogs prone to coprophagia or for helping discourage wound licking.
The padded nose section provides additional comfort, while the adjustable neck strap helps keep the muzzle securely in place.

Designed with Your Dog’s Comfort in Mind
Unlike restrictive fabric muzzles that hold the mouth closed, the Baskerville Classic uses an open basket design.
When correctly sized and fitted, this gives your dog enough space to pant and drink normally.
This makes it suitable for situations where a muzzle may need to be worn for longer periods, such as walks, travel or training, while always keeping your dog supervised.
Anti-Scavenging Guard
Each Baskerville Classic Muzzle includes an additional removable guard for the front of the basket.
With the guard fitted, the muzzle can help stop your dog from picking up unwanted items including:
Food waste
Stones
Wildlife
Other objects found while walking
Faeces
It may also help discourage dogs from licking wounds during recovery.
When the guard is removed, the more open basket makes rewarding with suitable treats easier during positive muzzle training.
Choosing the Correct Size
Measuring your dog correctly is important.
Measure:
Muzzle length: From the tip of the nose to the base of the nose just below the eyes.
Muzzle circumference: Around the widest part of the muzzle, usually just below the eyes.
The muzzle should allow enough space for your dog to comfortably pant without the end of their nose pressing against the basket.

Customising the Fit
The TPR basket can be reshaped using hot water.
This allows the muzzle to be gently moulded to better suit your dog's individual muzzle shape.
Always follow the manufacturer's fitting instructions when heat shaping the muzzle.
Positive Muzzle Training
Dogs should be introduced to a muzzle gradually and positively.
Allow your dog to investigate the muzzle first and build up the amount of time it is worn slowly.
Never force a muzzle onto a frightened or distressed dog unless required in an emergency situation.
